Pioneer Gas Power Limited (PGPL) incorporated as a Public Limited Company, has setup a 388 MW Gas Based Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) at Vile Bhagad, Mangaon Taluk, Raigad District, Maharashtra. The site is 120 K.M. away from Mumbai airport and is near to Mumbai-Goa National highway (NH-17). The Plant is optimized to use eco-friendly Natural Gas to maintain a pollution free environment. The technology & equipments coupled in the Power Plant will be of highest quality.

PGPL project enjoys considerable benefits such as:

  • Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has leased the land to PGPL to set up the Power Plant.
  • The Dhabhol-Dahej Pipe line of GAIL which will supply Gas is only 8 Kms from the site and Spur Line connecting our Plant in the shortest possible time.
  • The location provides proximity to consumers of power with complete Power Evacuation within 4 Kms.
  • The Project site is located in the state of Maharashtra, power deficit state in the country and also the fastest growing state with large industrial consumers around.
  • MIDC Ville Bhagad area is well networked by roads.
  • The Geographical location and weather conditions are best suited for the enhanced performance of equipments.
  • The Project is strategically located close to the GAIL Dahej-Dabhol Pipeline which allows easy access to gas required for the project.
  • The project was being allocated the Natural Gas under e-BID RLNG scheme of Ministry of Power, Government
  • PGPL commissioned the plant and achieved CoD on 14.07.2016 after successful trials.
  • PGPL supplied power under e-BID RLNG scheme to Telangana Discoms
