Project Status

• Pioneer Gas Power Limited – PGPL, a company with corporate headquarters in Hyderabad incorporated in the year 2009. PGPL has setup 388 MW Natural Gas Based Combined Cycle Power Plant(CCPP) at Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC),Vile-Bhagad, Mangaon Taluk, Raigad district, Maharashtra. The project is commissioned with one of the lowest capital outlay in the Industry. The execution of the project is being carried by Tata Projects Limited, under EPC Contract.


• The Project is strategically located close to the GAIL Dahej-Dabhol Pipeline which allows easy access to gas required for the project.


• The project is being allocated the Natural Gas under e-BID RLNG scheme of Ministry of Power, Government of India.


• PGPL, Grid connected natural gas based power project in Raigad District, Maharashtra, India has become one of the largest natural gas based power plant registered as CDM project under UNFCCC.


• The estimated amount of annual average GHG emission reductions shall be approximately 1,328,673 tCO2e and 13,286,730 tCO2 over the chosen crediting period of ten years, majority of which will be producing in post 2020 era.


• PGPL wish to register our project under Verified Carbon Standard also, so that Carbon Credits can be monetised for around 20 years for this clean power project.


• PGPL commissioned the plant and achieved CoD on 14.07.2016 after successful trials.


• PGPL has signed PPA with The Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana and The Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana.


• PGPL started supplying power to The Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana and The Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana (Telangana Discom).
